First day of the Fifth Grade

First day of the fifth grade, originally uploaded by LauraJ_Sews.

It's the first day of the fifth grade, the first day of the fifth grade
*clap clap clap clap* I don't know how this song really goes but it's the only thing that's been in my head all day!
In my excitement this morning to get everything ready and get him on the bus on time I forgot to take first day of school photos. I snapped this one photo of him coming off the bus. From what I can tell had a good first day, took a wee cat nap during musictime and was bouncing away on the mini trampoline at 5:30 this evening.
I had to jump with him too because I'm very excited at announcing the winner for the giveaway I held the other day. Before I announce the winner I wanted to tell a little story... Sunday evening wanted to y comments to be numbered so that it'd be easier finding the winner. I googled "numbering comments in blogger" and came up with several sites that tell you how to change the script in your template to allow numbered comments. I tried for an hour or so and each time blogger kept giving me error messages. I shut the whole thing down and went to bed. Last night while checking on the post to see how many comments I had for the giveaway lo and behold what do I see but numbered comments! Hooray!! So without further adieu I bring you the winner of the Christmas in August Giveaway:

I used random.org for a random number, only clicking once to be fair and al.

giveaway winner

#44 you have the winning comment:

From the Veggie Tales Jonah movie right? I always sang it 'first day in the ___th grade, clap clap clap clap', but Katie informed me it was actually "First aid in the __th grade", and the song is about the character injuring himself. Alas, I like first day better.

Glad Aaron had a great first day!
