hello tuesday

A long time ago this lovely lady awarded me a bloggy award from this post.
I have no idea why but I'll graciously accept it. Thank you Upstatelisa!
I must pass it forward to some people so...umm I can't just pick several because I read so many blogs that it'd not be fair.
So consider that I'm giving YOU this award just for taking the time to read my blog!

Then I was tagged for a meme from this lovely lady.
So I'm to write 7 things about me that you don't know.
I've been blogging for 2 and a half years, really is there anything about me you don't know?
Well I do have new readers so here you go:
1-I've been raising Aaron mostly alone for 6 years and 11 months.
2-I failed the sewing course in high school economics class because I didn't like sewing. The project was to make a pair of pants. I had a hard time reading the pattern. I still have a hard time reading patterns.
3-I'm a visual learner. Explain something to me and it may take me a while to get it, draw it out on paper and I'll get it!
4-However I am an avid reader and love, love, love historical stuff.
5-I'm a romantic at heart. I love the romance of history. Not so much the reality.
6-I dislike cooking, but I'm a great cook, so I'm told.
7-I absolutely love tomatoes. Raw, sliced, with a dash of salt and pepper.
I grew this little tomato this summer. And I was able to eat it Sunday.
I didn't get the harvest I expected but it was a fun process all the same.
I may try it again next year.

I love the blog Big Blueberry Eyes. Michelle has urged folks to post 31 days in a row for Trisomy 21 or what's more commonly known as Downs Syndrome. I thought about it for the past several days and came to the conclusion that I'm going to join in on this little challenge.
Even though we are not affected by Ds, I once met a beautiful little boy who has been affected. He's got the greatest mama. I'm blogging for all mamas with special children.
