Finished with 2 days to spare!

Here it is the quilt of all quilts for my spinny propeller loving guy!

I braved the below freezing tempuratues to photograph it on the clothesline.

Here is the back of the quilt.

I've never loved making a project more than this one.
I've never challenged myself harder, from actually drawing the pattern myself to sewing everything together to make something that will keep my little guy warm for years to come. And also a little something that will brighten his room and make our days a little more fun.
I'm proud of myself that I finished in time for Christmas. I will wrap it this afternoon and he will unwrap it tomorrow.
I know going in that he won't be enthused about it as much as I am. He might even balk at me putting it on his bed. He's not one to accept change lightly. Over time though he'll come to love it and it will be a part of him.
There will be other presents under the tree that will catch his attention far more than this.
I think in the end this was a gift for me as much as it was for him.
I take great pleasure in making his bed everyday.
~~~~~~
One last present to put together today which I know he will love. But first we have to brave the cold weather, the snow and head out to the store by taxi to get diapers. Everything is closed until Saturday and he needs diapers now! I don't mind going out with him, it's amost a tradition as we did this last year too. He gets to see the hussle and bussle of the holiday. Fun times ahead!
Have a great Christmas Eve!!
Great quilt! It certainly looks like it was hard to make-you deserve to be proud! I can't get over how much snow there is in the background! I wish you two a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year!
Oh Laura, that is the most awesome quilt! I love all your fabric choices -- especially the wavy stripes on the front. You should be so proud of yourself!
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to both you and Aaron!
Your friend way down in Oklahoma...:)
Beautiful job - and what a pretty picture too - the color of the blue in the sky matches the quilt. If you're going to freeze to get a picture, might as well get a pretty one!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
