Yesterday I set out to tackle a recipe I'd never made before. Date Squares.
I looked up online an easy recipe and came up with these.
I couldn't believe how easy it was and how great they came out!
I'm beside myself with glee!!
Tomorrow I must venture out to two houses down and share these with two of the loveliest neighbours I know!

Here in French Canada we have Milk from Chicken with translates to Egg Nog.
Silly huh?? Chicken milk anyone?
Someone commented on flickr they wondered how many chickens had to be milked to fill up a
carton. Too funny!!

Here's the front, some hand work done on it and patchwork. I love me some patchwork.
She loves these colours!
And the back with some free motion quilting and fabric applique.
I'm so happy she loved it.

6 things that I do everyday that make my life better:
1) hug and kiss Aaron often
2) listen to music, sometimes loudly
3) make something, anything food, craft or what have you
4) make Aaron's bed, I have made him 3 quilts in the last 2 years and I'm so proud of them that I must make his bed everyday
(I'm still working on my bed...)
5) drink diet pepsi-I know it's "bad" for me but at least it's not alcohol!
6) check in with my online friends, they are my life saver!!! without them I'd be insane

I love date square so I'm coming right over!! hehe I've always found it funny that in French they call egg nog "lait de poule"...could never figure that one out!! That journal cover you made is just gorgeous!!
