This morning while doing some hand sewing I was contemplating what kind of photo I'd like to take for spf.
Then it hit me that I wanted to show how much my hair has grown since last September when I had cut it short. I have trimmed around the face a few weeks ago for some style. What really makes me happy is that I am able to wear a ponytail again.
After what feels like taking a gazillian photos to get a semi decent one I marvel at how much I have changed the past year. I have a hard time believing that pretty face up there is mine. I marvel that I can even SEE myself as pretty at all! This week marks the 4rth year of my singleness. Absolute singleness, when four years ago Aaron's father and I called it quits for the last time. It was the hardest thing for me to let go yet when I think of the past 4 years I've gained so much it brings tears to my eyes. Since February 28, 2005 I have found myself. That's cause for celebration. That's something to shout to the rooftops. After four years I have finally embraced being single. I LOVE it. I adore it and I can't see myself with anyone else again.
Relationships are hard and the one I've had the most difficult time with is the one I've forged with myself. Finally I can be happy with who I am. . A mother. A daughter. A sister. An aunt. A friend.
And most importantly I am Laura, a woman with determination to be the best I can be.

Oh my gosh, your hair grows so fast! I wish mine grew as fast because I just had 4 inches cut off in January and I hate it! Mine grows fast but you've got me beat by a mile!
