I knew how to knit but could not figure out how to make dish cloths. With a little instruction from a lovely lady 2 houses down I now can knit dish cloths. I LOVE these cloths very much!
The cone of cotton thread was a thrift score several years ago for a dollar.

I definitely think knowing how to knit dishcloths would come in quite handy! I remember the knitted dishcloths at my grandmother's house as a child. But were you already that good right from the get-go? I would suspect if I tried it that there would be lots of little pulled loops sticking out here and there -- yours looks great so far!
I always wanted to do dish cloths,I wish you lived 2 houses down so you could teach me !!

My MIL used to make those for me. I don't use them because she's gone and they remind me of her.
You're so talented. My sister told me that she knitted all of the scarves that she sent us. I thought they were crocheted.
