During the March break I woke up from a dream with red and pink on my mind. I could not stop thinking about these two colours and so I figured I just had to make a pretty quilt. Off I went to my favorite fabric store trying to find fabrics that suited my tastes best. I came away with these. My favorite bring the one in the middle that's pink with red leaves. Beautiful!

I had a feeling that there wasn't enough pinkety pink in the quilt and so had to go back and add a couple more pinks and one deep red.

When I sat down to sew today I was organizing the fabrics for the 3 stars I had left to sew. But low and behold I could only find fabrics I'd cut for 2 stars. I was missing a whole star's worth of cut fabrics. This made no sense to me and I searched everywhere in the sewing room and could not find them. So with panic in my voice I called my dear trusty favourite friend in the whole world begging her please can we go to you-know-where to get some fabrics for my mom's quilt because I lost fabric and I can't find it and her birthday is in 6 weeks and I'm not half-way done this quilt yet and April is in less than 2 weeks??! ACK??
My friend replies: I'll be there in 15 minutes!
And this is what I found for star number 6:
