Sunday Stash

I've added these to my stash for a special project for a daughter of a reader.
I feel so silly even mentioning it but I'm swapping her collection of LP*S for a lap quilt.

These 3 are for my pink and red quilt to be.

And this is backing and binding for the pink squares quilt.

I'm gearing up for a busy couple of months. I want to use up what "school day" time I have left being productive until the end of June. I've got my work cut out for me!
I started some free motion quilting on the purple quilt you can see here:

Here is my set up at the kitchen table I pushed in the corner so that the quilt doesn't fall off the table and become this lumpy bumpy heavy thing that is impossible to sew. Let me tell you quilting is hard work! I remember the Sunshine quilt and how achey my shoulders were.

Set up

I was having a hard time quilting the 3 previous large quilts I've done. If you haven't followed my blog before I'll just repeat that I am really, really short when I sit down (due to scoliosis). When I sit I'm the height of an 8 year old! Anyway... I had the one booster on my chair and that didn't help so I quilted those big quilts standing up. Then it dawned on me why not try 2 boosters! And it worked! And I can sit while I quilt. (I do regular sewing sitting down.) Although I must be careful with that second booster as it balances precariously on the first one and I'm not careful I'll be tumbling to the floor.
