I have a good excuse though. I woke up feeling very very achey and I spent the night tossing and turning going from hot to freezing and back again. Also I felt like I had been swallowing thumbtacks during my non-sleep. It was a slow morning as I popped a few tylenol trying to get that overall body achey feeling out of my system. You see I had plans that day. I was going to my favourite place ever to buy fabric. I was very excited to be able to buy fabric for fun and not for projects for others. But alas I could not find the bolt of fabric I was looking for and I was crushed. I really liked that print and it was on sale the last time I'd seen it, I was hoping to buy a tonne of it for backing. You can't beat 1.99 a yard can you? We all know how much fabric backings take and how much of a chunk of a quilt's budget goes into the backing alone. In the end I just bought another blue print that I kind of liked for a future project.
After my fabric excursion I mosied on over to the ER to get looked at. Aaron was with his father this weekend and he had to come to the ER has well to have something looked at. I thought I had strep but fortunately the test came back negative and the doctor said it was probably something viral and it will take its course. I still tossed and turned all last night but I did get some rest because I didn't wake up with the aches in my joints but I still have the awful sore throat. Blahh.
All this rambling has nothing to do with the bag I'm showing. I made this bag Thursday and Friday for a lady I know who has been begging me to make her a bag. She's seen my charm squares bags I've been last summer and wanted one for herself. She was even so generous to buy some of the fabric herself. We sat down and I drew a rough diagram to remind of what goes where: make the bag a little shorter, green strapts, green band around the top. After I had constructed the bag and quilted it I realized I'd made an error. The band is wine red. Oh dear. I hope she won't mind. It's still a lovely and useful bag despite my not having read my own directions properly. I have another charm squares bag to make this week. At least I have creative reign on the design etc.

I like the wine color, I think the green would not have looked as nice. I hope you feel better, sore throats are the worst:(
Hi Laura. Like the bag and the wine colour is not too bad. Hope you feel better soon.
I check in with your blog every couple of weeks or so, so keep on blogging. It is rather lonely when you dont get comments though isnt it?
