I recieved these pretty flowers for Easter along with the Mr Munchy in the background. I bought the rest of the chocolates for us to share and of course I brought my eggy placemats. Easter Dinner was delicious with a roast beef/pork combo potatos, carrots and gravy. Yummy!
The following Tuesday Aaron and I left for the big city for his annual specialist check-ups. All is well for one more year. Slight improvements in some areas, some things to keep an eye on in others but at least we're good for and surgery free for another year.
I met up with another blogger, although we've been friends for a couple years I think, but we'd never met. We met up after Aaron's appointments in the big city. She had a short drive and jumped at the chance to come and say hello to us. She flickrs as Xerxia. She goes by a real name that I'm not sure I'm allowed to share. She's adorable, kind and sweet and I think I've made a life-long friend! My only regret about the meeting was I didn't take any pictures!! Doh! I think it's because my camera was too shy to come out to play, she has a honka honka wow wow kinda camera. Actually, I was just tired of using my camera that has been starting to take crappier and crappier photos of late.
Xerxia and I did a little swap together and she made me this cute pillow:
As an aside the pillow beside it is one I recovered the day before the trip to take with us so Aaron would have something comfy to lean on. He'd grown out of his carseat booster being 11.5 years old and all and I wanted something that would help support him. He did very well on his trip without a carseat and he seemed much more comfortable sitting on the regular seat than all squished into a bunch of plastic. For safety we bought a seat belt slider that clips onto the seat belt to correctly allign the shoulder strap away from his neck. Aaron loves the new swapped pillow and stole it. I didn't get a picture of the pillow I made. Being lazy and all.
A few paragraphs ago I complained about my poor pitiful camera. I suggested to my sweetie that I'd like a new one and would he help me get one for Mother's Day? Well he did better and we got one 7 days early, here she is:
Now I just have to get to work and finish up some projects etc and start taking prettier photos! I'm glad that now my tripod won't look so dorky with an itty bitty camera on it.
Hope you have a wonderful week!
