I am starting to miss finishing quilts. I haven't done so since the end of June. Has it been that long? Sad! This quilt in the photo here has been on and off my kitchen table since the beginning of July. I lost interest in sewing sometime after the first few quilted swirls. I'd do a swirl every other week or so and even then. It put me at a standstill for other projects as well considering all my basting pins were in this quilt so I couldn't very well quilt other ones. So I moped. I watched all the seasons of Madmen from Netflix the first week Aaron was in school. Now that the Mademen fix is over and Aaron is settled in school nicely I thought it was time to get back into the swing of sewing.
I did manage to put sew a couple things in the sewing room with my other machine:
A bag for my niece who had been begging me for a year or two for me to make her one. According to her older sister, my other niece, she uses it every day. Score some good auntie points for me. Then again the other niece is now waiting for her bag. Does it count the fabric is bought?
For my couch I covered this awesome pillow form that my friend picked up at a store for 2.99 near where she works! We are a pillow loving family around here. I used leftover squares from back in March when I went on a square cutting spree to make Aaron
this quilt.
Slowly but surely I hope to finish up projects so I can start new ones. The piles are getting out of hand, as you could see in my sewing room photo I posted yesterday.

I'm glad to see you get back to your passion. Before long all those WIPs will be done and you'll be starting something new. Get swirling, girl!
