Thank you!

New headphones, originally uploaded by LauraJ_Sews.

I want to take a few words to say thank you to everyone who commented on my last post wishing my Aaron a very happy birthday. Those words reached through to my very soul and touched me deeply. I realize I'm not alone in this but somedays I think no one really understands anything I go through with Aaron.

He did have a happy birthday which stretched to the weekend when he opened a couple presents. The headphones in the above photo is one of his presents. Love them! I'm a closet 60's flower child so the tie dye really appeals to me in a big way. When Aaron's not using them I just might. He also got a Firetruck Lego kit of which we have yet to find the time to put together.

On the home front: Yesterday morning I thought something was wrong with my heart when I woke up and I could barely breathe nor lift my left arm without lots of pain. I went to the hospital after sending Aaron off to school. After an hour or two of tests the diagnosis ended up being pulled pectoral muscles of the left side. I don't remember doing anything extrastrenuous when the pain started *cough*weekend before last. I thought I'd wait out the pain thinking things would get better but it was hindering my progress with life! Thankfully with some good anti inflammatory meds I'm much better now.

Now I'm just a little more dilligent and careful on how I care for Aaron. He's getting to be quite the big boy. I am helping him to learn how to help himself and help me in the process. He has to learn how to assist in his own transfers because eventually he's going to be a very big boy that I won't be able to move at all.

I'm taking one birthday at a time. One day at a time. I've been getting back into sewing very slowly. Hopefully I can start sharing some more works I've been doing. I'm also learning how to take nice photos with my fancy shmancy camera so that will be in an incentive to post more. Perhaps?
