We travelled like Rock Stars

We travelled like Rock Stars, originally uploaded by LauraJ_Sews.

to come home early Wednesday afternoon. We were supposed to have came home Monday but at the last minute a doctor walked into the room to inform me that Aaron's blood gases were off too much and he needed to investigate why. Turns out that he was being over ventilated with his Bi Pap. The settings were tweaked and by Tuesday morning things were good!
We are home now and have been for a day. It has been a whirlwind of people coming and going but we are well and settling into our new temporary normal. Aaron is doing amazing! He has a couple skin issues due to the cast but these are being addressed with special sponge pads. With vigilent care I think he will do great the next 5 weeks.
I'm taking it one day at a time. I'm anxious to get back into the sewing room but all in good time. Once I'm secure enough that Aaron won't jump out of the bed I can leave him to watch tv or play a game and I could sew in 15 minute stretches.
I'm glad to be home.

One day at at time is a wise move for now! I'm sure you'll find your grove soon and you'll both fit into a pleasant everyday pattern so you might find a bit of sewing time.

Thanks for the update. I'm so glad things are going well. I do hope you are able to get in some sewing time. That always helps.

Aaron could certainly teach us a few things, what a trooper he is:-) So glad you two are finally home and that he's doing so well. The next few weeks won't be easy but at least the hard part (the surgery) is over and now it can only get better. xoxo

Happy Homecoming, LJ! So glad that things are going well. If I could drop by I totally would! Wish I lived close enough to drop by, bring you a delicious Oklahoma meal :) and hug your neck.

I'm so glad you are home. Providing "vigilant care" is hard and I wish you both good luck with the next 5 weeks.
