in the time out corner.
The infraction....playing with the box fan.
I told him to go in the corner...he mosied there and sat there.

Then when I told him he had to stay there he wasn't happy at all.
I used 3 minutes.

Good job, Laura! I make my kids go to their beds because none of them like to sleep! If they carry on too much sometimes they fall asleep! Three whole minutes seems like an eternity to kids! He'll be fine and he'll learn his limits!! It's going to be great for your sanity!! Love you, T
And he survived intact didn't he? good job, laura.
(BTW that boy of yours looks cute even when he's having a meltdown.)
You did the right thing trust me, a little time out never hurt anyone, I use to make my kids lay down for 5 min. sometimes they would fall asleep,I let them have a book and that was it.And yes it felt good for both us us because they knew where the limit was.Today my kids can't do enough for me.
By the way I love the little quilts they are adorable!
Thanks for coming by for coffee LOL

aaaww that just breaks your heart seeing him so upset in that bottom picture! Kayla would cry when we first started using the "naughty spot" but now she goes into it without a fuss. Sometimes we'll say "Kayla do you want to sit in the naughty spot?" and she'll say "yea" and sits in it! I think it's lost the effectiveness LOL But she does stay there and wait for the timer to ding; it'll get easier on the both of you!
aww the bottom photo broke my heart. Tristan gets time out but I have to use the highchair because he WILLNOT stay. He doesn't seem to care. Yet! that is I'm sure one day I will be taking similar photos and that will be the day some of the undesirable behaviors may decrease. Good Job Mommy. Stay strong :)
