I need a new project on my ever growing long list of projects like I need a... well you know how the saying goes. I started this project 2 weeks ago after seeing this photo. I'd wanted to do something like this for a long time ever since I bought this book last summer from which the inspiration comes from.
Sewtakeahike decided to do a quilt as you go quilt along tutorial on her blog using the blocks in the book as inspiration. What a great way to use up scraps!
Speaking of scraps. Some of the members of the flickr group did a scrap swap. It was fun! Only I wish I had known earlier how I was going to go about making my blocks using mostly blues. I'm wondering if there is a reader or 3 of my blog who would be willing to do a scrap swap with me? You send me blues, not the blues, I mean shades of blue, and I will send you a grab bag of scraps. You can leave me a note in the comments and I'l find you somehow!

I'd be up for a swap. I need some bright colored pieces and I have a bunch of mid to light blues I could send... what do you think?
