Monday

riiip, originally uploaded by LauraJ_Sews.

I sewed up a rip I had in my favourite hoodie from getting it caught on a door handle.

I sewed the rip closed.

owl patch
I sewed down an owl to cover the rip. I love my hoodie even more now with my little tiny owl friend.

sewing box
I mentioned about a sewing box yesterday which I transported some hand stitching things to a friends house on Saturday. This is the inside.

This is with the lid on. What I should tell you is that it's actually supposed to be a lunchbox. When I first spotted it months ago on a hunt for a container to store a sewing project,
I fell in love immediately and knew it would make for a great little stitching case. My favourite part besides the colour and the picture on the front, is that it has a seal that makes it all waterproof!

Next time you go looking for containers to store things, take a look in the lunchbox aisle.

Pretty smart there, girl! Cute carryall and practical too. (You could always stick your lunch in there too!)

Oops, forgot to say - love that little appliqué. It turns something that would have made me sad each time I looked at it into something that would make me smile. I'm going to remember that!
